Evolutionary Education

Since ancient times, quality of life, values at social and individual levels, spiritual and material progress have been direct products of education. Of course, the form and methodology of education have been undergoing transformation constantly and consistently with changing times. Over the past decades, the scope of education has increased enormously to include much more than what it did previously.

The absence of education, in many parts of the world, brought about the dawn of the dark ages, cruelty and many barbarities mainly in the name of religion. Superstitions had devastating effect on societies. Religious and social evils had eradicated through entire populations. Lack of social reforms due to illiteracy was one of the contributing factors for mass genocide and human destruction.

Education always served as an antidote to many brutalities and atrocities among human populations. Whenever there is quality education, we see enlightenment, quality life and upward swing in science and technology. In the modern world, societies impacted by education, we see peace, development, order and refined culture. Over centuries education has been operating as a moderating force on society in various ways and it is the only hope and the only answer to facing these new challenges, where new discoveries, inventions and innovative ideas are the by-product of modern education.

For decades, the primary argument in justifying education has been based on its direct economic effects. Yet education also provides "social benefits" for individuals and society at large, including a better way of taking care of ourselves, and consequently creating a better society to live in. Though it is difficult to quantify these social benefits, a more systematic analysis would improve our understanding of the full effects of education and provide a basis for considering related policies.
Being a part of the education field, it’s our firm belief at Nane Pahana(N.P.T.C FLORENCE), that modern education, needs to reflect these ideas and ensure that every student is given the opportunity to achieve it. A balance in work and leisure is quintessential for maturing minds. It helps us to tap into student’s latent talent so that we may be able to sharpen them. Education need not be purely academic, but it needs to reflect one’s own identity and preferences in extra-curricular activities. Here at our institution, we make sure our children get to show case their talents and their abilities during school events such as the Annual Children’s Day Celebrations, Sports Meet and our Cambridge Exam Sessions. They gain confidence and insight which diversify their experience.

Education plays it continuous role in all spheres of life. It challenges idle minds and breaks conventional boundries. What we do is what we know and have learned, either through instructions or through observation and assimilation. As our motto ‘Empowering Knowledge’ states, we strive to make our students reach their potential.
